What is Facial Reflexology?
Facial Reflexology is a relatively new holistic complementary therapy devised by Lone Sorensen that combines the use of traditional Chinese Meridians and Points, Vietnamese Face Mapping and South American Mapuche Facial Reflex Zones with modern neuro-anatomy.
This powerful but gentle treatment was developed by Lone Sorensen Lopez Facial Reflexology - Sorensensistem™ is practiced and taught world-wide. The Institute is based in Barcelona Spain and has been training therapists for 27 years. It is known to offer the finest courses on reflexology in the world today.
Through stimulating the face in a precise manner, impulses through the central nervous system activate certain organs, increase blood circulation, and regulate the lymph and hormonal system. Facial Reflexology is designed to identify the underlying cause of health imbalances, address their symptoms, and promote healing. As a complementary therapy, Facial Reflexology does not claim to cure but does greatly enhance and assist in the treatment of many conditions, including:

What is a treatment like?
A treatment session lasts between 50-60 minutes. Your first appointment includes a health intake consultation and a treatment plan is discussed. The face is first cleansed with a moist facial wipe. The only product used during Facial Reflexology is a wild crafted organic Rosehip Oil from Argentina’s protected rainforest. The oil is naturally abundant in vitamin C, helping to heal and renew the skin.
The treatment begins by gently stimulating acupressure points releasing endorphins and serotonin to bring balance and serenity. Smooth gentle fingertip strokes are used to find the largest deposit in your lower layer of facial tissue. The location of this deposit tells us which organ or system is your root cause of imbalance. The face is further stimulated in the disciplines mentioned above. This stimulation works through the central nervous system to the brain and then onto the organ. The face with over 500 points offers the shortest path to the brain, offering us greater success and effectiveness. Many people describe the treatment as a deeply relaxing, soothing session.
What to expect after a session...
After your session you not only feel serene and relaxed, your inner health is balancing and your outer self is rejuvenated and glowing. An added bonus is that it tones and regenerates the muscles and skin tone, softening the wrinkles and lines, leaving your face refreshed and glowing with a deeper sense of health and balance.
One must also remember that as a session is stimulating the entire body, one can experience symptoms of detoxification. These are merely temporary and signal the body is working to cleanse and balance. Symptoms of detoxification could be headaches, chills, profuse sweating, change in bowels or more frequent need to urinate. It is suggested to rest and drink plenty of water after your session to support the body in its transition. If any of these symptoms occur, remember it is temporary and signals the body is working.
What is the cost of a treatment?
